Magesi extended their winning streak in the Motsepe Foundation Championship to six matches this week while Orbit College lost ground in the race for a PSL promotion finish.

Facing Pretoria Callies at the TUT Stadium on Tuesday, Magesi managed to come away with a 3-1 victory that solidified their position at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table.

While Magesi extended their winning streak to six matches, the University of Pretoria bagged their second victory on the spin following a 1-0 win against Milford at the Tuks Stadium on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Orbit College failed to keep up with the pace set by Magesi and AmaTuks after suffering a 2-1 defeat against Baroka at the Global Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Orbit now trail Magesi by five points in third position after 22 matches played.

At the tail end of the log, Platinum City Rovers ended the latest gameweek with a frustrating 1-1 draw against La Masia, while 15th placed Marumo Gallants suffered a 2-1 loss against Casric Stars at the Isak Steyl Stadium on Tuesday.

Currently sitting in the dreaded relegation zone of the Motsepe Foundation Championship, both Gallants and Platinum City Rovers have accumulated 20 points after 22 matches played so far.
