As the race for PSL promotion heats up, the likes of Casric Stars and JDR Stars have quietly gone about their business with positive results leading up to the next Gameweek in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Moving up to third position on the table, Casric head into their next game off the back of two consecutive victories in the league.

Fourth-placed JDR Stars on the other hand are currently on a five-match unbeaten streak which consists of four consecutive wins before their 0-0 stalemate with Venda Football Academy last time out.

Casric Stars and JDR stars will lock horns in their next league assignment, with the game set to take place at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Sunday.

Elsewhere, table-toppers Magesi will look to extend their unbeaten streak to 11 games this weekend when they take on eighth-placed Maritzburg United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Magesi recorded a 1-0 win over University of Pretoria last week and, in turn, extended their lead over second-placed AmaTuks to five points.

Then, in another crucial Motsepe Foundation Championship fixture this week, 15th-placed Marumo Gallants will take on Platinum City Rovers at the Isak Steyl Stadium on Sunday.

Rovers currently occupy last position on the table, level on points with Gallants (24) after 25 matches played.
