Tuks & Magesi keep up with Orbit in latest MFC fixtures

In their quest for promotion to the PSL, the University of Pretoria and Magesi matched the pace set by Orbit College with crucial victories in Matchday 18 of the Motsepe Foundation Championship this week.

To begin with, Orbit recorded a 1-0 win against Milford at the Olympia Park Stadium on Tuesday and extended their unbeaten run to four games at the top of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table.

Finishing in second-place in the latest round of first division fixtures, AmaTuks bagged a 2-1 victory over La Masia at the Dobsonville Stadium on Monday. While the University of Pretoria trail Orbit by two points, Magesi are three points adrift of the top following their 2-0 win against JDR Stars at the Soshanguve Giant Stadium on Tuesday.

Marumo Gallants recorded a 1-0 win against bottom of the log Venda Football Academy on Wednesday afternoon and moved up to 14th place in the process. Also, Platinum City Rovers and Baroka FC shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Global Stadium on Wednesday, with the former slotting into 15th position on the table.

Then, Pretoria Callies moved up 12th position on the log this week, after seeing out a narrow 1-0 win against Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Wednesday.
