Orbit College made sure to remain at the top of the table in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, securing a 2-0 win against Platinum City Rovers. The league leaders are two points clear in the log and successfully picked themselves up from a disappointing draw against Magesi last week.

The University of Pretoria are steadily making ground in the title charge in the Motsepe Foundation Championship as they beat Marumo Gallants 2-0 on Friday evening. AmaTuks find themselves in third place, with the same points tally as second-placed Upington City, who also grabbed a win in this weekend's fixtures against Venda.

AmaTuks won their match in style and the first goal in the match was a penalty converted by Delano Abrahams in the 36th minute, opening his account for the first time this season. Thabang Sibanyoni also found the back of the net in the 63rd minute for the team, providing a cushion for his side to confidently take home all three points.

Elsewhere, JDR Stars and Milford won their matches over the weekend and are sitting in sixth and 12th place respectively. Magesi were held to yet another 1-1 draw as they played against MM Platinum. Maritzburg United were beaten 2-1 by Black Leopards and Castric Stars played to a goalless draw against Hungry Lions.
