As a key fixture in matchday 13 of the Motsepe Foundation Championship this weekend, Orbit College and JDR Stars will do battle in a top of the table clash upon the resumption of local football.

JDR Stars will travel to the Olympia Park on Friday afternoon, where they will meet top-of-the-log Orbit College in what will be one of their most important fixtures of the 2023/24 campaign.

Despite recording two consecutive draws, JDR Stars managed to close the gap at the top of the table to one point, given Orbit’s recent run of defeats against Baroka and Maritzburg United.

Also vying for first place, Magesi will take on Casric Stars at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Like JDR Stars, Magesi trail Orbit by a single point going into their next game.

A resurgent Baroka, meanwhile, could have a say at the top of the table come Sunday afternoon when they prepare to face La Masia at the Global Stadium.

Baroka are currently on a run of three straight wins, just two points adrift of Orbit College.

Elsewhere, a winless Pretoria Callies will make their way to the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday where they will shake hands with Maritzburg United.

After 12 matches played, Callies are yet to record their first win of the campaign and accumulated just eight points throughout the entire campaign.
