Super Rugby strugglers Western Force on Friday signed Wallabies hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa, enticing him home after three years with French Top 14 side Montpellier.

The 28-year-old, who has been capped 14 times, will join the Perth-based team in June on a long-term deal.

"I'm so keen to be back in Australia, it's home," said Paenga-Amosa, who helped Montpellier to the Top 14 title in 2022.

"Returning to Australia and putting my hand up for the Wallabies again was a big attraction after three seasons in France with Montpellier."

Force General Manager Matt Hodgson said he was delighted to have someone of Paenga-Amosa's calibre in the squad.

"We are committed to building squad depth in all positions and Brandon adds to our hooker options," he said.

"He brings quality, pedigree and experience domestically and internationally, so he'll add plenty to the group."

Western Force currently prop up the Super Rugby ladder with just one win from seven so far this season.

Earlier this week, fellow Wallaby Kurtley Beale joined them on a short-term contract after being cleared of sexual assault allegations.
