Burnley v Brighton and Hove Albion | 13 April

Burnley have won just one of their last seven Premier League meetings with Brighton (D4 L2), a 3-0 win at the Amex Stadium in February 2022.

Brighton have won just two of their 11 Premier League games against Burnley (D6 L3), though both victories have come at Turf Moor (2-1 in July 2020, 2-1 in August 2021).

Burnley have taken four points from their last two Premier League home games (W1 D1), just one fewer than they’d earned in their first 14 at Turf Moor this season (W1 D2 L11).

Only Manchester City (12) have scored more goals from outside the box in the Premier League this season than Burnley (9), with a league-high 28 per cent of the Clarets’ goals this term coming from distance (9/32).

Brighton failed to score in just two of their 41 Premier League games in 2023, netting in a club record 32 consecutive league games last year. In 2024, the Seagulls have failed to score in more different Premier League games than any other side, drawing a blank in six of their 12 games so far.

Having won their first two Premier League away games this season, Brighton have since won just two of their last 14 on the road (D4 L8). They’ve scored 15 goals in these four away wins (3.8 per game), compared to just eight goals in the 12 games they haven’t won (0.7 per game).

Burnley have had a league-high seven red cards in the Premier League this season, while only Nottingham Forest (6) have seen their opponents have a player sent off more often than Brighton (4). The last team to receive more red cards in a single campaign were QPR in 2011-12 (9).

Brighton have made 119 changes to their starting XI in the Premier League this season, 33 more than any other side. Their current rate of 3.84 changes per game is the highest in a single campaign in Premier League history.

Burnley concede an average of 2.2 goals per game in the Premier League with James Trafford in goal this season (62 in 28 games), compared to 1.3 with Arijanet Muric between the sticks (5 in 4).

Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke has made more ball carries (726) and carried the ball a further distance (7135.5 metres) than any other player in the Premier League this season.

Manchester City v Luton Town | 13 April

Man City have won their last four home league games against Luton by an aggregate score of 12-1. They last hosted them in April 1999 in the third tier (2-0), while they last did so in the top-flight in February 1992 (4-0).

Luton have conceded eight goals against Man City in all competitions this season, losing 2-1 in the Premier League and 6-2 in the FA Cup. They last conceded more against a side in a single campaign (excluding as a non-league side) in 1999-00 (11 in four meetings with Bristol Rovers).

Luton have never won an away league match against the reigning top-flight champions in 16 attempts (D3 L13), losing the last nine by an aggregate score of 27-2.

Manchester City are unbeaten in their last 40 home games in all competitions (W34 D6), just two short of their all-time club record of 42 set between December 1919 and November 1921.

Manchester City are unbeaten in their last 16 Premier League games, winning 12 and drawing four. They’ve won 4-1 (v Aston Villa) and 4-2 (v Crystal Palace) in their last two games, last netting 4+ goals in three consecutive league games in April/May 2022 (4 in a row).

Following a 2-1 win against Bournemouth last time out, Luton are looking to win consecutive Premier League games for the second time, previously doing so against Newcastle and Sheffield United in December.

Luton are – along with Sheffield United – one of two sides without an away clean sheet in the Premier League this season, with the Hatters conceding a league-high 38 goals on the road so far this term.

Excluding penalties, only Arsenal (19) and Everton (15) have scored more goals from set-piece situations than Luton in the Premier League this season (14). However, Manchester City have conceded just two such goals so far, fewer than any other side.

Phil Foden has scored nine goals in his last nine Premier League games, with his 14 overall this season his best return in a single campaign. His next goal will be his 50th in the competition; he would be the 10th player to reach this milestone for Manchester City, while aged 23 years and 321 days on the day of this game, he’d be the second youngest to do so for the club after Erling Haaland earlier this season.

Kevin De Bruyne has been involved in nine goals in just 11 Premier League appearances this season, scoring three and assisting six. He’s averaging a goal or assist every 75 minutes this term, the best rate of any player (min. 500 minutes).

Nottingham Forest v Wolverhampton Wanderers | 13 April

Nottingham Forest have won just one of their last 10 league games against Wolves (D4 L5) and are winless in all three against them in the Premier League (D2 L1).

Wolves are unbeaten in their last five away league games against Nottingham Forest (W3 D2), since a 3-1 Championship defeat in March 2013.

No side has lost more Premier League games in 2024 than Nottingham Forest (7), with only Burnley (8) and Sheffield United (7) earning fewer points than Forest so far this calendar year (9).

Following their 3-1 win against Fulham last time out at the City Ground, Nottingham Forest are looking to win consecutive home league games for the first time since a run of four between April and August last year.

Wolves are winless in their last three Premier League games (D1 L2), their joint longest run without a win so far this season. They last had a longer winless run in the same campaign between October and November last season (5).

Wolves have kept just two clean sheets in their last 32 Premier League away games, with both of those coming this season in a 1-0 win at Everton (August) and 0-0 draw at Brighton (January).

Excluding penalties, Nottingham Forest have conceded a league-high 21 goals from set piece situations this season. Meanwhile, Wolves have scored 27 per cent of their goals from set pieces this term (12/44, excluding pens), the third highest ratio in the division after Everton (47 per cent) and Luton (31 per cent).

Since the start of last season, Nottingham Forest have dropped more points from winning positions than any other Premier League side (48).

Chris Wood has scored 12 Premier League goals for Nottingham Forest this season, only ever netting more in the 2019-20 campaign (14 with Burnley). Only against West Ham (7) has he scored more Premier League goals than he has against Wolves (6), with his first ever hat-trick in the competition coming against them in April 2021.

Only Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailey (7) have combined for more Premier League goals this season than Nottingham Forest duo Anthony Elanga and Chris Wood (6). It’s the second most goal combinations for a Forest pair in a single Premier League campaign, after Bryan Roy and Stan Collymore in 1994-95 (7).

Bournemouth v Manchester United | 13 April

Bournemouth are looking to complete their first league double over Manchester United, following their 3-0 win at Old Trafford in December.

Manchester United have won four of their six Premier League away games against Bournemouth, losing the other two in December 2015 (1-2) and November 2019 (0-1).

Bournemouth have won each of their last three Premier League home games – they’ve never won four in a row at home in the top-flight before.

After a run of six away games that saw them keep four clean sheets and concede just two goals, Manchester United have now conceded in each of their last eight on the road, shipping 17 goals in total.

Despite coming into this round of games in sixth place in the Premier League table, only bottom side Sheffield United (560) have faced more shots than Manchester United in the Premier League this season (554), while the Red Devils also have the third highest expected goals against figure (58.2).

Just 31 per cent of Bournemouth’s Premier League goals this season have been scored in the first half (14/45), the lowest share in the division so far this term. Indeed, the Cherries have scored just once in the opening 45 minutes in their last nine games, and in none of the last five.

Manchester United have dropped 15 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, their most ever in a single campaign. They’ve led late in each of their last three, but failed to win any of them (1-1 v Brentford, 3-4 v Chelsea, 2-2 v Liverpool).

In their last two Premier League matches Manchester United have conceded the first goal, gone on to take the lead but ultimately failed to win. Only West Ham in April 2016 have ever done this in three consecutive games in the competition.

Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi were on target for Bournemouth in their 3-0 win over Manchester United in the reverse fixture. Only Joshua King in 2019-20 has scored home and away for the Cherries against the Red Devils in a single campaign.

Bournemouth’s Ryan Christie (33) and Manchester United’s Antony (31) are the two players to have had the most shots without scoring a single goal so far in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool v Crystal Palace | 14 April

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 13 Premier League games against Crystal Palace (W11 D2) since a 2-1 home loss in April 2017.

Since winning three consecutive away league games against Liverpool between 2015 and 2017, Crystal Palace are now winless in their last six at Anfield (D1 L5).

Liverpool are unbeaten in each of their last 28 Premier League home games, winning 22 and drawing six. However, they’ve not kept a clean sheet in any of their last eight at Anfield, last having a longer run between December 1998 and May 1999 (9 games).

Having won their first Premier League game under Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace are now winless in their last five. They’ve lost their last two, but haven’t lost more consecutively since a run of four in March last year.

Crystal Palace have conceded around 10 goals more than expected in the Premier League this season (54 goals conceded, 44.3 xG against), with only Sheffield United having a bigger such difference in the competition this term (82 conceded, 61.2 xG against).

Liverpool have conceded around seven goals fewer than expected in the Premier League this season (30 conceded, 36.5 xG against), with only Manchester United having a bigger such difference in the competition this term (46 conceded, 58.2 xG against).

Liverpool have won 27 points from losing positions in the Premier League this season, including in their 2-1 win at Crystal Palace in the reverse fixture. There are just three instances of a team winning more in a single campaign – Newcastle in 2001-02 (34), and Manchester United in both 2020-21 (31) and 2012-13 (29).

Liverpool have had 629 shots in the Premier League this season, at least 70 more than any other side. Indeed, their average of 20.3 shots per game this term is the third highest on record (since 1997-98) in a single Premier League campaign, after Chelsea in 2009-10 (21.9) and 2008-09 (21).

Darwin Núñez has had more shots than any other player in the Premier League this season (100). He’s the first Liverpool player other than Mohamed Salah to have 100+ in a single campaign since Philippe Coutinho (106) and Roberto Firmino (100) did so in 2016-17.

Jean-Philippe Mateta has scored four goals in his last six league games for Crystal Palace, with his seven overall this season his best return in a single Premier League campaign. He opened the scoring for the Eagles in the reverse fixture against Liverpool, with Dwight Gayle in 2013-14 the last Palace player to score home and away against the Reds in a single season.

West Ham United v Fulham | 14 April

West Ham are unbeaten in their last 12 Premier League home games against Fulham (W8 D4), since a 2-0 loss in their first ever such meeting in November 2001. The Hammers have won each of the last five, scoring three goals on four occasions.

Following their 5-0 win at Craven Cottage in December, Fulham are looking to complete their first league double over West Ham since 1965-66.

Fulham have won three of their last four Premier League London derby matches (L1), as many as they had in their previous 41 such games (D9 L29). However, away from home they’ve won just one of their last 23 against fellow London sides (D6 L16), beating Crystal Palace 3-0 on Boxing Day in December last season.

Only bottom two sides Burnley (14) and Sheffield United (15) are on a longer run without a Premier League clean sheet this season than West Ham (12). However, the Hammers have also scored in each of their last seven games, losing just one of these (W3 D3).

West Ham have won 19 points from losing positions in the Premier League this season, coming from behind to beat Wolves 2-1 last time out. It’s the most such points they’ve ever gained in a single campaign in the competition.

Only bottom two sides Burnley and Sheffield United (12 each) have failed to score in more Premier League games than Fulham this season, with the Cottagers’ 1-0 loss against Newcastle last time out the 11th time they’ve drawn a blank this term.

Only Arsenal (13) have scored more goals from corners in the Premier League than Fulham this season (10), while no side has conceded fewer such goals than Marco Silva’s side (2). Only in 2010-11 and 2022-23 (both 11) have the Cottagers scored more often from corners in a single Premier League campaign.

Fulham (28y 356d) and West Ham (28y 230d) have the two oldest average starting XIs in the Premier League this season. Meanwhile, the Hammers have used fewer different players than any other side this term (24).

Mohammed Kudus has had more successful dribbles than any other player in the Premier League this season (91). Indeed, his 91 successful dribbles is the most by a West Ham player on record in a season in the competition (since 2005-06).

Since the start of February (when he netted his first goal), only Phil Foden (9) has scored more Premier League goals than Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz (8). Just two of these eight goals have come away from home, however.

Arsenal v Aston Villa | 14 April

Arsenal have won five of their last six home Premier League games against Aston Villa, losing the other 3-0 in November 2020.

Following their 1-0 win against them at Villa Park in December, Aston Villa are looking to complete just their third Premier League double over Arsenal, previously doing so in 1992-93 and 2020-21.

Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League away games against London sides (W6 D3), having lost eight of their previous nine before this (W1). It’s the Villans’ longest run without defeat in the capital in their league history.

Arsenal have won 10 of their last 11 Premier League games (D1), scoring at least twice in each victory. The Gunners have conceded just four goals across these 11 games, though three of those have been at the Emirates Stadium.

Aston Villa lost 4-1 at Manchester City in their last Premier League away game, but haven’t lost consecutively on the road since May 2023. However, they’ve lost each of their three away games against last season’s top four so far by an aggregate score of 12-4.

Aston Villa have caught their opponents offside 142 times in the Premier League this season, more than 40 more than any other side. Meanwhile, only Man City (33) have been flagged offside themselves less often than the Villans (38).

Arsenal’s Kai Havertz has been involved in nine goals in his last seven Premier League appearances (5 goals, 4 assists), while overall this is his most productive Premier League campaign for both goals (9) and assists (5).

Bukayo Saka has been involved in 11 goals in his last 11 Premier League appearances, scoring nine and assisting two. One more goal would see him become the first English player to score 15 in a league campaign for Arsenal since Ian Wright in 1996-97 (23).

Ollie Watkins has been involved in 11 goals in his last 10 Premier League games (9 goals, 2 assists), and seven in his last four away from home (5 goals, 2 assists). His 18 goals overall this season is the second most by an Aston Villa player in a single Premier League campaign, after Christian Benteke (19 in 2012-13).

Leandro Trossard has eight Premier League goals this season, his joint-most in a single campaign. Four of these have been as a substitute, with only Olivier Giroud ever netting more from the bench for Arsenal in a season (6 in 2016-17).

Chelsea v Everton | 15 April

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 28 Premier League home games against Everton (W15 D13) since a 1-0 loss in November 1994. It’s their longest unbeaten home run against a side in their top-flight history.

Following their 2-0 win at Goodison Park in December, Everton are looking to complete their first league double over Chelsea since 1978-79.

Everton are winless in their last 28 away league games against Chelsea – only at Leeds (35 between 1946 and 2001) have they had a longer run without a win on the road in their top-flight history.

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games (W3 D4), last having a longer run without defeat between October and December 2021 (8). However, they’re without a clean sheet in nine league matches, shipping 21 goals in total in this run.

Chelsea have both scored and conceded at least twice in each of their last seven matches in all competitions. In English football history, no top-flight side has ever done so in eight consecutive games before.

Everton’s 1-0 win against Burnley last time out ended a 13-game winless run in the Premier League. Each of their last five league wins have been to nil, with the Toffees failing to win any of their last 12 when conceding at least once (D4 L8).

Chelsea have conceded 52 goals in the Premier League this season, only shipping more in 2015-16 (53), 2019-20 (54) and 1996-97 (55) in 38-game seasons in the competition. Their 25 goals conceded at home this term is their second most in a single campaign after 2015-16 (30).

Only Burnley and Sheffield United (12 each) have failed to score in more different Premier League games than Everton this season (11), while only the Blades (30) have scored fewer goals than the Toffees (32). After a run of three straight wins in which they scored 2+ goals in December, Everton have only scored more than once in one of their last 14 Premier League games (2-2 v Spurs).

Cole Palmer has been involved in 25 goals in his last 22 Premier League games, scoring 16 and assisting nine. One more assist would see him become the first Chelsea player to register double figures for both goals and assists in his first Premier League season with the club.

After a run of 18 Premier League games without a goal, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored in his last two appearances, with these strikes earning Everton three points. He last scored in three consecutive league games in August 2021.
