Crystal Palace are winless in their last five Premier League meetings with Newcastle (D3 L2), failing to score in each of the last four.

Having won their first four Premier League away games against Crystal Palace between 1994 and 2013, Newcastle have won just one of their last eight away to the Eagles (D5 L2).

Having been unbeaten in Premier League games in London last season (W4 D3), Newcastle have lost three of their five in the capital so far this season (W1 D1). However, their sole victory was in their last such visit (1-0 at Fulham).

Crystal Palace have lost 10 of their last 13 Premier League games against sides to finish in the top four the previous season (W1 D2), with their sole victory in this run coming at Manchester United back in September.

Crystal Palace have lost six of their last nine midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Premier League games (W1 D2), with their only win in this run coming against Sheffield United in January (3-2).

After a run of one win in 24 Premier League games played on a Wednesday between November 2012 and December 2020 (D5 L18), Newcastle have won four of their last five such games in the competition (L1).

Following victories over Fulham and Tottenham, Newcastle are looking to win three consecutive Premier League games for the second time this season, previously doing so in September. Away from home, they’ve won three of their last five league games (L2), having won just one of their first 10 this term beforehand (D2 L7).

KEY TRIO FOR PALACE

When Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta have all started a match in the Premier League this season, Crystal Palace have won four of those five games (L1), with an average of 2.4 points-per-game; in comparison, in the 28 games when those three haven’t all been in the XI, Palace have only won five times (D9 L14), averaging 0.9 points-per-game.

Anthony Gordon has 10 goals and eight assists in the Premier League this season, though 83 per cent of these have come in home games (9 goals, 6 assists). He’s just two assists away from becoming only the third Newcastle player to register double figures for both goals and assists in a single Premier League campaign, after Andrew Cole in 1993-94 (34G 13A) and Ruel Fox in 1994-95 (10G 11A).

Alexander Isak has scored seven goals in his last six Premier League appearances for Newcastle, though six of those strikes have come in home games. His 17 goals overall this season is the joint-most by a Swedish player in a single Premier League campaign, level with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2016-17.
