Big weekend awaits PL title challengers

Match-by-match facts and statistics ahead of round 29 of the Premier League on March 2-March 3:

SATURDAY, MARCH 2

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v ARSENAL

Tottenham have never lost a Premier League north London derby at home with Mauricio Pochettino in charge (W3 D2).

Arsenal have won five of their last six league matches while Tottenham have lost their last two.

Tottenham's Harry Kane, with eight goals, needs one more goal to become the outright top goal scorer in Premier League matches between the two sides.

Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored a league-high six goals in London derbies this season, including a brace in the reverse fixture.

Tottenham have kept a clean sheet against Arsenal in their last two home league matches, winning both.

BOURNEMOUTH v MANCHESTER CITY

City have never lost to Bournemouth in 13 matches (W11 D2) in all competitions.

City have won all seven Premier League matches against Bournemouth since the south coast club was promoted to the top flight in 2015.

Bournemouth have won only once in their last five league matches (D1 L3).

City striker Sergio Aguero leads the Premier League's goal scoring charts with 18 goals, scoring eight in his last five league matches.

City's Raheem Sterling has scored in all six league matches he has played against Bournemouth.

MANCHESTER UNITED v SOUTHHAMPTON

United are undefeated in the last six meetings between the two sides in all competitions with Southampton earning three draws.

United have won nine and drawn two of their last 11 league matches since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed caretaker manager in December.

Southampton have won twice in six away league games under manager Ralph Hasenhuttl since his appointment in December.

United midfielder Paul Pogba has nine goals and seven assists in all competitions since Solskjaer took charge.

Southampton have only one victory over a 'top six' side in their last 33 league matches, a 3-2 win over Arsenal in December which was Hasenhuttl's first win as manager.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION v HUDDERSFIELD TOWN

Brighton have not won a league game in 2019 (D2 L5) and have lost five of their last six matches.

Huddersfield ended a 14-game winless run with a 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday.

Huddersfield have won only one away league game this season (D3 L9).

Huddersfield have not scored in five of their last six away league games.

Brighton are unbeaten in their last six league home matches against Huddersfield.

BURNLEY v CRYSTAL PALACE

Burnley have not lost to Crystal Palace at home in nine of their last 10 matches in all competitions.

Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic leads the league with seven goals from the penalty spot this season.

Burnley's players have been cautioned a league-high 58 times this season.

Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has four goals and an assist in his last five league matches.

Sean Dyche has won four times against Palace as Burnley manager, all of which have come against a different manager (Ian Holloway, Alan Pardew, Sam Allardyce and Frank de Boer).

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS v CARDIFF CITY

Wolves have lost six of their last 10 league meetings with Cardiff, including the reverse fixture in November last year.

The last time these two sides drew a match in all competitions was 10 years ago (2-2 in February 2009).

Cardiff have conceded three or more goals in a league match 11 times this season.

Cardiff have completed the least number of passes in the league this season and have recorded the lowest possession among all 20 clubs.

Wolves midfielder Joao Moutinho leads the team with seven assists but has not contributed with a goal or assist in his last five matches in all competitions.

WEST HAM UNITED v NEWCASTLE UNITED

Newcastle have not won any of their last five away league matches (D2 L3).

West Ham won the reverse fixture and are looking to accomplish the league double over Newcastle for the first time in 20 years.

Felipe Anderson is West Ham's leading goal scorer this season with eight league goals but the Brazilian has not scored in his last nine matches (11 games in all competitions).*West Ham have lost only once in their last seven league games (W4 D2).

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has won 12 times against West Ham, more than any other opponent in his managerial career.

SUNDAY, MARCH 3

WATFORD v LEICESTER CITY

Brendan Rodgers will take charge of Leicester for the first time this weekend and faces his former club for the first time. Watford have beaten Leicester in the Premier League only twice (D1 L6).

Leicester's Jamie Vardy is two goals shy of scoring 100 goals in all competitions.

Watford striker Troy Deeney is the club's top goal scorer this season with seven goals but only one of them was scored at home (in a 2-1 win over Tottenham in September).

Rodgers has won at least once against 27 Premier League clubs and will look to add Watford to that list. The only other team he has not beaten is Chelsea.

FULHAM v CHELSEA

Fulham, who are 19th in the standings, have the worst defensive record this season having conceded 63 goals in 28 games.

Chelsea have lost their last three away league games without finding the back of the net and having conceded 12 goals.

Fulham have lost seven of their last eight league matches, managing only one win (against Brighton & Hove Albion).

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 18 encounters against Fulham (W11 D7), last losing to their west London neighbours in 2006.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard is the only Premier League player to hit double digits for goals (12) and assists (10) this season.

EVERTON v LIVERPOOL

Everton have not beaten Liverpool in their last 18 matches in all competitions (D9 L9).

The Merseyside derby has produced more red cards (21) than any other Premier League fixture.

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has never scored against Everton in six previous matches.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is now Everton's top goal scorer this season with 11 league goals after his midweek brace at Cardiff City.

With 49 goals in 64 games for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah can reach the landmark of scoring 50 goals for a single club faster than any other player in Premier League history (Alan Shearer took 66 games with Blackburn Rovers).
