‘No change for Unicem clash’

Papilo FC head coach Obinna Uzoho has hinted of a similar victorious line up in their last game with My People FC against Unicem Rovers.

The newcomers are hosts of the Calabar outfit in Saturday’s Bet9ja Nigeria National League (NNL) matchday 15 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

Uzoho said he would love to have the side’s proprietor and former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu in the stands as his presence is always a big boost for his wards.

“I introduced new players who have not tasted league action in the past against My People FC and they acquitted themselves handsomely.

“I can assure you that they have gained a place in the team, but same things could not be said of others who did not give 100% performance.

“I’m most likely to keep same line up that featured against My People FC in Saturday’s clash against Unicem Rovers, maybe make few changes but the adjustment will be minor.

“Of course, the win against My People is a huge boost for us to go for another sweet victory against Unicem Rovers.

“The win has greatly helped our climb out battle from the danger zone and we are determined to keep the momentum.

“The presence of our chairman, Nwankwo Kanu served as a real tonic on the players to go all out to perform.

“We always pick good result each time he is in the stand to cheer us and I hope he comes around when we take on Unicem Rovers.

“I have not seen Unicem Rovers play, but I learnt they have good centre back. I intend to work on it.

“I know for sure that they are not pushovers, the game is going to be tough but we are ready to contest favourably the three points at stake,” said Uzoho to supersport.com.

Papilo FC have earned 12 points from a possible 42 in the southern conference's 14-week-old Nigerian second tier league.
