Mokoena wins Absa Prem goal of the month for January

Teboho Mokoena’s wonderful effort against Bloemfontein Celtic has been awarded the Absa Premiership Goal of the Month award for January.

The SuperSport United central midfielder’s powerful drive and game winning goal from outside the box in the 2-1 win, received the most votes, from the shortlist of 10 great goals in January on www.PSL.co.za

Other goals that were nominated for the award along with Mokoena’s effort, who has a knack of scoring spectacular goals, include strikes by Puleng Tlolane, Bernard Parker, Tshwarelo Bereng, Elias Pelembe, Jabulane Maluleke, Hlompo Kekana, Gift Motupa, Mwape Musonda and Matome Kgoetyane.

Football supporters are encouraged to continue voting for their Absa Premiership Goal of the Month award by visiting the PSL website. The winning monthly goal will be selected from the online votes cast by supporters.

Proud sponsor of the Absa Premiership, Absa, continues to reward football supporters that vote for the winning goal during the 2018/19 campaign. Every month, one lucky fan will win a jersey of their favourite Absa Premiership club. The winning fan is selected through a random draw after voting for their favourite goal, as was the case with Makoatsa Mokoena who received her jersey of choice, a SuperSport United home jersey.

Absa Premiership Goal of the month winner will be entered into the Absa-lutely Goal of the Season award. This is also voted by the members of the public.

Voting for the Goal of the Month for February opened on Friday, 1 March on the PSL website and will close at midnight on Sunday, 31 March. Football supporters can go to www.psl.co.za and cast their votes. All the shortlisted goals are available on the PSL website for public voting.
