Power confirm Situmbeko exit

Power Dynamos have confirmed that midfielder Julius Situmbeko has left the club to join Zanaco, after both clubs met to conclude the transfer on Saturday.

The 22-year old, who was in the stands as Power Dynamos defeated Lumwana Radiants 3-1 in the two sides’ week seventeen fixture, is expected to travel to Lusaka to agree personal terms this week.

Power Dynamos Chief Executive Officer Ricky Mamfunda confirmed the transfer to supersport.com without disclosing the fee.

“I can confirm that Zanaco had requested for the services of Julius Situmbeko and our technical committee agreed to release him. I can also confirm that we have actually concluded negotiations and that Situmbeko will be joining Zanaco.

“As Power Dynamos we can only wish him all the best. He has been with the club for quite some time. He is still young and we can only wish him success at Zanaco,” said Mamfunda.

Situmbeko joined Power Dynamos from Konkola Blades at the beginning of the 2013 season and scored seven league goals in the four and a half years he spent at the Ndeke-based outfit.

While at Power Dynamos, he won the Samuel Zoom Ndhlovu Charity Shield twice (2013 and 2016), including a runners-up medal in the same competition in 2015.
