Bashiru wants Super 6 title or nothing

Mountain of Fire Miracle Ministries (MFM) FC centre back Monsuru Bashiru has said it is the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Super 6 tournament diadem or nothing against Chan Eagles.

The Olukoya Boys will confront the domestic senior national team side in Sunday’s NPFL Super 6 championship final at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kofarmata, Kano.

Bashiru said his side want to make history by winning the top prize at their debut in the pre-season annual football championship.

“We are going to do our very best in the NPFL Super 6 championship final against Chan Eagles.

“Our dream and dearest wish is nothing less than outright victory against the Chan Eagles.

“We want to create a record by going all out to win the Super 6 top prize at our first appearance in the championship.

“Victory at the final will be the best way to send a strong-worded statement of our intention in the upcoming football season and continent.

“A win will certainly boost our confidence, most especially now we have known our preliminary round opponents in the Caf Champions League.

“The final against Chan Eagles is sure going to be tough as the team is almost an assemblage of the best players in the land.

“We are happy facing such a quality side in the final and we will use the occasion to announce ourselves as well as prove the doubters wrong.

“People did not give us any chance of reaching the final against the dreaded teams in the NPFL Super 6 championship.

“However the genuine bond of love and motivation has been the driving force behind our successes.

“Chan Eagles will come hard to defend their reputation in the final clash but they will not stop us from winning the glamorous championship at our debut,” said the MFM FC strongman to supersport.com.

The annual football pre-season championship is meant to help the nation’s campaigners on the continent to prepare for their respective African assignments.

The Lagos Landlords will represent the country at Africa’s first tier club championship, the Caf Champions League, together with the league winners, Plateau United, while the 2017 Aiteo Cup winners, Akwa United and Enyimba, will campaign in the Caf Confederation Cup.
