Ghana Premier League leaders WAFA SC were beaten 2-1 away to Berekum Chelsea, a result which handed closest challengers Aduana the chance to catch up.
Aduana won 2-0 over Ebusua Dwarfs and are now tied on points, 43, with WAFA but the Academy boys remain on top due to a better goal advantage. They also have a game in hand.
WAFA looked to continue their impressive run as they scored first in the matchday 23 encounter at the Golden City Park through Richard Danso.
However, the tide changed with striker Stephen Sarfo scoring twice from the penalty spot to hand Berekum Chelsea their eighth win of the season.
