South Africa will face Malawi in the 2019 Cosafa Cup Plate Final at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Friday.

Kick-off is at 5:00pm CAT.

Bafana Bafana will be aiming to make it a hat-trick of Plate Final wins with victory over the Flames, having won the title at both the 2017 and 2018 tournaments

Following defeat to Botswana in the Cup quarterfinals, Bafana Bafana edged past Uganda on penalties to book their place in this year's Plate Final.

Malawi entered this year's tournament in the group stages. Following two wins and a draw the South-East African country finished top of Group B to set up a clash against Zambia in the knockout stages of the Cup competition.

The Flames, like South Africa in their match against Botswana, raced into a two-goal lead only to fall to defat in the dreaded penalty shoot-out.

Malawi duly beat Comoros in the Plate semifinals to set up a clash against South Africa and a chance to end the Southern African tournament on a high.

Bafana Bafana beat Namibia 1-0 in the 2017 Plate Final before a 3-0 win over Botswana at the same stage last year.
