Nkana FC will take on CS Sfaxien in the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal first-leg match at the Nkana Stadium in Kitwe on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 3pm CAT.

The Reds progressed to the knockout stages after finishing as Group C runners-up behind Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman.

Nkana, who were the runners-up in the 1990 Champions League, have an impressive home record having won four successive wins in this season's tournament.

Beston Chambeshi, the Nkana coach, has complained about fixture congestion ahead of the Zambian giants' clash with Sfaxien.

"This is where now FAZ (Football Association of Zambia) can come in and help the team. They know we are defending the country," Chambeshi said on The Mast.

"We need a breathing space so that the boys can come out. Otherwise it has been hectic for us, it is bringing a lot of pressure to the boys. We have to just look at the next game.”

Meanwhile, Sfaxien eased into the knockout stages after winning Group B ahead of their Tunisian rivals Etoile du Sahel.

Record three-time Confederation Cup winners have tasted only one defeat on the road in this year's tournament having also recorded two draws and two wins away.

Sfaxien coach Ruud Krol, who won this tournament in 2013, knows how difficult it is to win a continental title.

“It’s nice to be back in contention in the Confederation Cup. But the travelling makes it difficult‚" Krol told Algemeen Dagbla.

"It will take us 24 hours to get to Zambia to play our match there. There is no such thing as a direct flight. You’ve got to almost go all the way around.”
