Lyon sign Senegalese youngster

Senegal attacking midfielder Ousseynou Ndiaye has inked a three-year professional contract with French Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais.

The 18-year-old signed the deal on Monday joining from Diambars FC de Saly, a football academy in Senegal.

Ndiaye is excited with signing for the French club and hopes to be "an example".

He however admitted that he still has a long way to go.

"I am very happy to sign at the OL. It is a great club. It's a dream to be here. I want to be an example for the people I left behind in Senegal. It's never easy to get a professional contract. There are still many steps ahead of me," Ndiaye said.
