Kaizer Chiefs will battle with Polokwane City in an Absa Premiership match at the FNB Stadium on Saturday. Kick-off is at 6pm CAT, live on SuperSport.

Amakhosi have had a great start to the season as they remain undefeated having secured a 2-1 victory over Cape Town City in the Mother City last month.

Their impressive start to the campaign sees them placed at the top of the league standings having accumulated 10 points from four matches.

New Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic, who has caught the eye with some good displays, has stressed the importance of respecting their opponents, Polokwane.

“I am trying my best in every game to help the team get three points. And yes I can score… but this is football, sometimes it doesn’t happen," Nurkovic said.

“We respect every opponent. And if we play as we did in the first four games than there shouldn’t be a problem for us.”

Meanwhile, Polokwane are winless in their last two league matches having drawn 0-0 with Chippa United in Port Elizabeth last month.

Rise and Shine, who were held to a draw by Highlands Park in their MTN8 clash earlier this month, are currently placed fifth on the league log with seven points from four games.

Zlatko Krmpotic, the Polokwane head coach, has explained his side will have to improve their finishing in front of goal after failing to score in their last two competitive games.

"We fight and create chances, but we are not technically good," Krmptic said.

"This makes it difficult for us to play well as a team. It is a problem for us and we have to play better."
