Kaizer Chiefs will square off with SuperSport United in an Absa Premiership match at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 6pm CAT.

Amakhosi have had a great start to the season having won their first two league matches against Highlands Park and Black Leopards.

As a result, Chiefs are placed second on the league standings with six points from their two victories.

Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka is looking forward to facing his former side, SuperSport, but he is also wary of the Tshwane giants.

“SuperSport have done very well in their last two games scoring six goals without conceding. They are looking good and must be high on confidence,” Maluleka said.

“We have started very well. We are still coming up and it will be a very intense game with two teams in good form. It is going to be a big game and I am looking forward to it."

Meanwhile, SuperSport recorded their second consecutive win across all competitions when they thrashed Bidvest Wits 3-0 in their MTN8 Cup quarterfinal match last weekend.

Matsatsantsa are currently placed ninth in the league standings with three points which they collected after defeating Orlando Pirates in their last league game.

Kaitano Tembo, the SuperSport head coach, has urged his troops to remain calm ahead of their clash with Chiefs.

“I think we’ve had a very good pre-season. But at the same time, it’s about continuity, we have few players that have joined us and we are trying to improve from last season,” Tembo said.

“We’ve never really brought in a lot of players. But it’s still early days because it’s only our third match of the season, so we need to stay humble a little bit and continue to work hard.”
