Chiefs tackle wounded Arrows

Kaizer Chiefs will return to Absa Premiership action when they take on Lamontville Golden Arrows at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 7:30 pm CAT.

Amakhosi are brimming with confidence as they coming off a 4-2 win over Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup semifinal clash which was played over the weekend.

However, Chiefs are winless in their last three league matches having played to a 1-1 draw with Black Leopards in their previous game in the competition.

As a result, the Soweto giants are placed seventh on the league standings - three points behind sixth-placed Cape Town City, who have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Arrows are wounded as they crashed out of the Nedbank Cup after losing 3-1 to National First Division (NFD) side TS Galaxy in a semifinal clash on Saturday.

However, Abafana Bes'thende are currently enjoying a three-match unbeaten run in the league having drawn 1-1 with AmaZulu FC in their last game in the competition.

The KwaZulu-Natal side is placed ninth on the league standings - two points behind eighth-placed Highlands Park, with four matches left.
