Nhlapo wants trophies at Ajax

New Ajax Cape Town signing Isaac Nhlapo says he is settling in well at the club, and has targeted a trophy in his first season at Ikamva.

Nhlapo signed a pre-contract with Ajax in January, having spent the last three seasons at Platinum Stars.

“I am happy with the level of professionalism here at the team and hopefully winning a cup will be a reward for the team,” he told his club’s website.

“I am enjoying life under coach Stanley [Menzo] and coach Boebie [Solomons], they are a great team and I can only repay them by working hard.”

Nhlapo’s chances of playing have been boosted by the departure of Ghana centre-back Lawrence Lartey, and the uncertainty over the future of Rivaldo Coetzee.

“My aim is to play regularly, be injury free and repay the Ajax Cape Town family for the faith they have shown in me,” Nhlapo says.
