Vonk thrilled with Ajax return

Former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Hans Vonk says his return to Ajax Cape Town as the Head of Youth Development has been "fantastic".

The 47-year-old represented the Urban Warriors 110 times during two stints in the Premiership and has been part of the youth structures at Ikamva for the past three months.

Vonk hailed the South African club's facilities and level of training as he looks to maintain the high level of academy graduates for the first team.

"Being back at Ajax Cape Town as the Head of Youth is fantastic and a great challenge," the former Heerenveen and Ajax Amsterdam gloveman told the club's official website.

"The set-up at Ikamva is top class and very similar to the ones in Europe which is great in assisting the players' development into top-class players."
