New SA blood to pursue Masters success



From Tim Clark’s runner-up finish in 2006 to another second placing by Retief Goosen and Rory Sabbatini in 2007, Trevor Immelman and Charl Schwartzel’s victories in 2008 and 2011 to Louis Oosthuizen’s runner-up finish last year, the Masters has been a source of considerable success for South Africa in majors over the last seven years.

This year, new blood in the form of debutants Branden Grace and George Coetzee will join Oosthuizen, Schwartzel, Immelman, Ernie Els, a two-time runner-up himself, and Richard Sterne as they seek to once again fly the South African flag high at Augusta this week.

SuperSport will broadcast over 20 hours of the Masters starting with Wednesday’s Par 3 contest, to daily 15-minute previews from a reporter stationed at Augusta and daily player interviews which will be aired on Blitz as well as all four rounds.
