SA to meet Holland in semifinal

Germany beat Great Britain 2-1 in the Investec London Cup in Chiswick on Thursday evening, meaning that South Africa's opponents in Saturday's semifinal will be world No 1 Holland.

Germany ended the tournament top of Pool B, with South Africa second in the pool. Earlier in the evening, Holland dispatched Ireland 5-1 to finish top of Pool A.

South Africa will play the first semifinal, scheduled to start at 3.30pm CAT (SA, GMT+2) on Saturday. The second semifinal, between Germany and Australia's Hockeyroos starts at 6pm CAT.

South Africa's semifinal will be shown live on SuperSport 4.

Whether SA reach the final or not, Sunday’s gold medal match will be live on SuperSport 6 at 5pm CAT. If SA do not make the final, the bronze medal match, starting at 2:15pm CAT, will also be televised.
