Stern test for Nigeria ahead of OQT



Nigeria continues to line up quality opposition for her Tigers. After six games in China the team will head to the US where it will practice with and play games vs. Great Britain in Houston.

Its then off to South America for D’Tigers where between the 25th and 29th they will play exhibition games vs. Brazil, Greece and New Zealand - all in Brazil. It is then that the team will be trimmed to 12 players before the qualifying tournament in Venezuela. D’Tigers most likely will be featuring three current NBA players: Al Farouk Aminu (New Orleans Hornets), Ben Uzoh (Toronto Raptors) and Solomon Alabi (Toronto Raptors).

Nigeria will now join Russia, Macedonia, Lithuania, Greece, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, New Zealand, Angola, Nigeria, Jordan and Korea in fighting for the last three available spots for London 2012.

The United States, Spain, France, Great Britain, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, China and Tunisia have already qualified for the Olympic Games.
