World number 66 Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez of Spain captured her first career WTA Tour title on Sunday with a comfortable 6-3, 6-2 win over Argentina's Gisela Dulko in the final of the Bogota claycourt event.

"I'm very happy to win my first singles title on the WTA Tour," said the 26-year-old, seventh seed.

"The final was more difficult than the score suggests, but on the important points I think I played better. It feels great."

Third seed Dulko had been aiming for a fourth career title to add to wins in Budapest and Forest Hills in 2007 and at Fez in 2008.
