Anderson books third-round spot

South Africa's No 1 ranked tennis player Kevin Anderson reached the third round of the Paris Masters, after defeating Frenchman Richard Gasquet in three sets on Wednesday.

Anderson won 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-1 against the world No 12, ending Gasquet's chances of reaching the ATP World Tour Finals in London next week.

Anderson's famous booming serve was on song, as he sent down 13 aces in the match and won 90% of his points on first serve.

Anderson, the world No 39, will next take on fifth seeded Czech player Tomas Berdych.
