Serfontein cleared to face Sharks



Jan Serfontein will start on the bench for the Bulls in their Super Rugby derby against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday night.

The Pretoria outfit confirmed on Saturday morning that Serfontein had passed a late fitness test after recovering from a leg injury.

Serfontein had been bracketed with Louis Fouche on the replacements bench.

Fouche, who picked up a hip injury against the Highlanders last week, failed his fitness test on Friday and would miss the match.

Bulls team: Jurgen Visser, Akona Ndungane, JJ Engelbrecht, Wynand Olivier, Bjorn Basson, Morne Steyn, Francois Hougaard, Pierre Spies (capt), Dewald Potgieter, Deon Stegmann, Juandre Kruger, Flip van der Merwe, Frik Kirsten, Chiliboy Ralepelle, Dean Greyling.

Replacements: Willie Wepener, Werner Kruger, Grant Hattingh, Arno Botha, Jano Vermaak, Jan Serfontein, Lionel Mapoe.
