Springbok and Vodacom Blue Bulls winger Akona Ndungane has committed himself to seeing out the rest of his career at the Bulls, after signing another two year contract at the Pretoria union.
Ndungane, who joined the Bulls in 2006, was a member of the 2007 World Cup winning squad and at the age of 31 will be a senior member of the Bulls squad for the next two seasons.
After overcoming two horror injuries, when he broke his leg twice in consecutive seasons, Ndungane has bounced back to have a solid Vodacom Super Rugby season and still be able to hold his place in the Absa Currie Cup squad amongst some younger pretenders.
With 11 test caps behind his name, Ndungane also has 89 Super Rugby caps and 69 Currie Cup caps, showing his worth for the Bulls and his consistency under the high ball and both on attack and defence convinced the Bulls to ensure he didn’t leave at the end of the season.
