Thank you. Because William was not in the team, we needed a captain on the field and Wiaan Liebenberg had recovered from his injury so it was the best option for the team.

There are always things that a player can work on. In my case, I can improve my speed, skills, passing, kicking, fitness and many more!

Thank you. I like Sonny Bill Williams, because he is also 12 and i like the new dimension he brings to the game. I try not to think too far into the future, but i know that for the next year and a half I am at the Bulls and will be doing my best for them.

Dit was n ongelooflike gevoel, ek het nog nooit so iets beleef nie! Dit is natuurlik n droom van my om eendag vir die Bokke te speel. Ek dink die beste manier om dit op te bou is om hard te werk aan my tekortkomings.

Thank you. I am positive about my future here at the Bulls. There are many centres and a lot of competition, but that is a good thing because it motivates you to work harder.

Jan, you thoroughly deserved IRB JP of the Year award. Outstanding. Do you see much difference between the junior and senior springbok game plans? Why do you think the juniors tactical approach worked so well? Are you less predictable than the seniors?
Jan answered:
Thank you. Yes, the u20 structure was very much like the one used by Saracens, because of Brendan Venter. The senior Boks' structure is a lot like the Bulls' structure. We had a good kicking game and played for territorial advantage to put the other side under pressure. We were also given freedom within the structure to do what we thought was the best option at the time.

My parents moved to Bloem. Both schools are good, but from a rugby perspective Bloem is the place to be, because of the competitiveness of the rugby every weekend.

That is a huge compliment because Danie Gerber, in my opinion, is the best centre there has ever been.

You, JJ, Venter, Sadie (who I believe will pull himself together for the next season), Wynand (if he doesn''t leave to Japan) and even your center pair from the WC Small-Smith. Quite many players of high quality. Is competition good or do you secretly hope that Wynand goes to Japan and that JJ is starting to play as wing as Akona doesn''t have many more years to go anymore?

I felt it was the best option for my future, and the Bulls have helped me develop already! I will be patient when it comes to playing Currie Cup or SR.
