Earl Rose to make Kings debut

Earl Rose seems to have found a new rugby home as he is currently training with the Eastern Province Kings.

Die Burger newspaper reports that Rose is currently at the Port Elizabeth-based union on a trial period.

Rose played for Griquas last year but he failed to impress the coaches and was not offered a new contract.

The flyhalf and fullback also previously played for Western Province and the Lions.

He might play his first game for the Kings next week when they play a friendly against the Bulls at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Rose got his chance at the Kings after flyhalf George Whitehead was injured in a car crash. Whitehead sustained head injuries and could be out of action for a while.
