Australia under pressure ahead of England test



Australia's feeble defeat to France prevented the southern hemisphere powers claiming a clean sweep in the first round of autumn internationals.

With New Zealand and South Africa unlikely to lose this weekend either, it's the Wallabies who again are under most pressure ahead of a crunch match against old rival England.

Australia head coach Robbie Deans needs a victory to stem the tide of criticism flowing his way but injuries and suspension have hit the team hard - and England is keen to pile on the agony.

Commenting on the 33-6 loss in Paris, Deans says "last week's performance was out of character and inexcusable, so we have to get on and address it."

New Zealand plays Italy in Rome and South Africa travels to Murrayfield to take on Scotland.
