Ackermann rings the changes



Golden Lions coach Johan Ackermann made a host of changes to the side that will face Griquas in Kimberley on Saturday.

Prop Jacques van Rooyen will start ahead of CJ van der Linde, while hooker Robbie Coetzee has been promoted to the starting line-up ahead of Willie Wepener.

Lions Under-21 lock Ruan Venter will receive a starting berth in the place of Willie Britz, who shifts back into a loose-forward position.

Flanker Jaco Kriel has been given a place in the starting line-up, with Warwick Tecklenberg providing cover off the bench.

In the backline, Tian Meyer will start at scrumhalf, while Ross Cronje will be the backup.

Andries Coetzee will start on the wing in the place of Deon Helberg, who was named among the replacements.
