Sias back at flyhalf

Toyota Free State Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has made just one tactical change to his side for their Absa Currie Cup encounter against GWK Griquas in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Flyhalf Sias Ebersohn has been promoted to the starting line-up in place of Tewis de Bruyn, with the latter relegated to the replacement bench.

Ebersohn showed some real prowess against the Blue Bulls last weekend and Drotske has included him to counter Griquas playmaker Francois Brummer.

Among the replacements, the Cheetahs' newest addition, Maties prop Brummer Badenhorst, comes in for Ross Cronje, who has been dropped altogether.

With many of the Cheetahs stalwarts, like prop Coenie Oosthuizen and hooker and captain Adriaan Strauss, involved with the Springboks, the Cheetahs coach had no other option but to bolster his impact bench for the tough clash agains Griquas.

"We know that Griquas have a strong team and that we need to improve on our performance against the Blue Bulls last week," Drotske said after naming his team on Wednesday.

"We've left the team as is to build some much needed momentum."

Toyota Cheetahs team: Hennie Daniller, Nico Scheepers, Raymond Rhule, Robert Ebersohn (captain), Rayno Benjamin, Sias Ebersohn, Sarel Pretorius, Philip van der Walt, Lappies Labuschagne, Heinrich Brussow, Izak van der Westhuizen, Francois Uys, Ross Geldenhuys, Hercu Liebenberg, Marcel van der Merwe.

Replacements: AJ le Roux, Brummer Badenhorst, Carl Wegner, Hendro Scholtz, Tewis de Bruyn, Philip Snyman, Andries Strauss.
