SBW set for Rugby Championship
Star centre Sonny Bill Williams has been cleared to play against Australia in the All Blacks' opening two tests in the inaugural four-nation Rugby Championship.
Williams' availability was in doubt as the New Zealand Rugby Union sought to comply with demands made by his new Japanese club, the Panasonic Wild Knights. The 26-year-old midfielder is due to join the Knights on a one-year contract later this month before returning to Australia's National Rugby League in 2013.
Williams has been unable to train with the All Blacks during the past week while undergoing medical tests demanded by the Knights and while insurance and other issues were resolved. He is now likely to start at inside centre in New Zealand's tests against Australia at Sydney on Saturday and Auckland the following weekend.
