Ireland's O'Driscoll close to return from injury

Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll could return from five months out injured when Leinster plays the Ospreys on Friday.

O'Driscoll has not played since Ireland's Rugby World Cup quarterfinal defeat against Wales on October 8, missing the whole of the Six Nations because of shoulder surgery.

Leinster says the centre "is progressing well after stepping up his rehab in recent weeks and may be fit for selection."

O'Driscoll was expected to be out for six months after having surgery on a trapped nerve in his shoulder.
