Watch SA swimmers make a splash in Turkey

After a monumental 2012 which yielded the country’s first and second men’s individual swimming Olympic gold medals, Swimming South Africa start their preparations for an even better showing in Rio 2016 bright and early, at the 11th Edition of the Fina World Short Course Championships in Istanbul, Turkey, this week.

The 12-16 December championships are exclusively live on SuperSport and in HD.

With Rio in mind, SSA has sent a 19-strong team in order to familiarise them with the rigours of a major championship and also to gain invaluable experience competing against the world’s elite swimmers.

The presence of South African swimming’s golden boy, Chad Le Clos, means that the country is also looking at capping the year off with more glory.
