Europa League action on the box
After having their fairytale 16-game winning streak ended on Match Day 4, defending Europa League champions Atletico Madrid, will be looking to get back on the winning trail on Match Day 5 to safely secure their passage to the knockout stages.
A draw against Hapoel Tel Aviv, Group B’s whipping boys will be enough for them to progress to the next round.
While a majority of the Groups could be settled on Thursday, qualification out of Group A, the group of death, looks likely to be settled on the final Match Day two weeks from now.
Anzhi Makhachkala, Udinese, Liverpool and Young Boys are all still in contention for a place in the round of 32 and victory for any of the sides this week will edge them closer but not over the qualification line.
