MasterChef SA cooks up a storm for the Proteas

MasterChef South Africa’s inaugural winner, Deena Naidoo, recently paid a surprise visit to the South African cricket currently on tour in England in a quest to unseat the ‘Poms’ from the summit of world cricket, to serve them a homely meal.

Naidoo, an avid supporter of the Proteas, whipped up a scrumptious South Africa dish which had the players momentarily thinking they were back home. Preparing a three-course meal for over 25 hungry cricketers is no easy feat, so a chef disguised as a professional cricketer was on hand to do the chopping and dicing for Naidoo.

The 15-minute mini documentary dubbed Proteas Dine with Deena will air on SuperSport over the next few days with the premiers on Thursday, August 16 at the end of day 1 at approximately 7.45pm to be repeated at 10pm.
