ExCeL is one of the largest and most versatile exhibition centres in Europe and is part of a 100-acre complex which also includes on-site Docklands Light Railway stations, parking for 3 700 cars, six on-site hotels, bars and restaurants, as well as easy access to the Jubilee Line for the Tube and London City Airport.

For London 2012 Paralympics, however, the centre's five arenas have been adapted to host six different Olympic sports - with 83 gold medals being awarded at the venue during the Paralympic Games.
