That was some Games, that was...
London 2012 has left its indelible mark on the history of sport, no doubt about it. A few minor glitches - those can't be avoided in an event of this scale - but it was embraced by the Brits, lit up by the athletes, and loved by the world. Here are a few reminders of what this extravaganza provided

Fifth for Stander, African sweep in marathon
There was no medal finish for SA on Sunday, but at least they finished atop the African table after Kiprotich of Uganda and not Kenya won the men's marathon. As the event winds down, everyone is set to enjoy a spectacular closing ceremony tonight from 9:45pm
