Guintoli joins PATA Racing

Sylvain Guintoli will be back in action at Silverstone next month after joining Pata Racing Ducati.

The Frenchman was unceremoniously dumped by Team Effenbert Liberty Ducati last week with a statement saying "the poor results achieved by the rider" was the reason behind the decision. This despite his race victory at Assen and two further podiums.

However, Guintoli claimed the team failed to fulfil "key aspects of the contract" and left him with no option but to terminate it.

The 30-year-old, though, won't be on the sidelines for too long as has signed for Pata Racing.

"I will be back on the Ducati 1198 in Silverstone. Thanks to Team Pata & Ducati," he announced via Twitter.

Pata Racing are yet to confirm the deal and it remains to be seen if replaces Lorenzo Zanetti or drive alongside him.
