Salom in doubt for Aragon

David Salom may have to sit out the Aragon round of the World Superbike Championship after dislocating his right shoulder last Sunday.

Having failed to see the chequered flag in the opening race at Misano last Sunday, the Pedercini Kawasaki was looking forward to a strong showing in the afternoon's event.

However, it was not to be.

Salom crashed out after just seven laps, injurying his right shoulder which he had damaged earlier in the season in an accident at Monza.

"In Race Two, after making a good start, I tried to force my rhythm but unfortunately I crashed and dislocated my right shoulder once again," said the Spaniard.

"It's the same shoulder I dislocated at Monza."

The 2011 World Supersport runner-up is in doubt for the next race at Aragon, which takes place on 1st July.

"I really hope to be able to race in Aragon at the end of June, also because it is my home race," he said.
