Edwards back in action in Spain

Colin Edwards will return to action at the Catalunya Grand Prix after recovering from surgery on his collarbone.

The 38-year-old was forced to watch the race at Le Mans from the sidelines after breaking his left collarbone during a collision with Randy de Puniet in qualifying at Estoril.

He underwent surgery and his Forward Racing team replaced him with Chris Vermeulen at last weekend's race in France.

Despite not being 100 per cent fit yet, Edwards will be back on his bike in Spain this weekend.

"I'm excited to come back, I'm probably not 100 per cent yet," Edwards said.

"I was actually thinking of riding here at the boot camp this past weekend but decided to give it a rest for a few more days.

"I got the staples taken out last week. I've been swimming a lot these last few days and it feels good, I have full movement and it doesn't hurt.

"I would say I'm at about 90 per cent right now. Looking forward to this weekend."
