Lorenzo's lost that 'good feeling'
A frustrated Jorge Lorenzo concedes his fourth place in qualifying for the Portuguese MotoGP was the best he could have hoped for.
Lorenzo entered the Saturday afternoon session as the rider to beat having taken pole position around the Estoril circuit for the last four seasons.
His run, though, came to an end this weekend.
Having fought at the front of the bulk of the 60 minutes, the Yamaha rider was down in fourth place with just two minutes remaining.
However, rather than cross the line for a last lap, Lorenzo sat up after noting that his time would not improve.
"The main problem for me was that in Turn One and Two I couldn't enter aggressively so I lost a lot of time in this section," said the Spaniard.
"In general the bike is not giving me a good feeling so this lap time was the maximum I could."
Off the front row, Lorenzo reckons he may have a tough time reaching the podium as he has to contend with not only the leading Hondas of Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa but also the Yamaha of Cal Crutchlow.
"We are in fourth but it is going to be hard as I have to try to pass Cal who is a hard braker!
"I will keep thinking positive and see what we can do."
