Raikkonen eyes victory in Budapest

Kimi Raikkonen is optimistic he can deliver his first win of the season for Lotus if the sun is shining at this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.

The 2007 drivers' world champion has finished on the podium in four of the ten races he has competed in since re-joining the sport at the start of the season.

In spite of his results, the Finn said his team now have a better understanding of how to get the best performance from his car and feels optimistic about his prospects for the second half of the season.

"We haven't won any races so it (the car) is not a winner," said Raikkonen.

"We have a good package but for many reasons we haven't got the best out of it, or not got the best out of it in all the races.

"We are still pretty happy but you want to do better, we want to win races, but it hasn't happened so far but hopefully we can.

"It is not easy, we know that, and we keep trying to improve things from the things we do, and we see what we can do in the second part."

The 32-year-old, who climbed from tenth to fourth at Hockenheim last weekend after struggling for grip and pace during the rain-hit qualifying sessions, was hopeful of a dry spell in Budapest this weekend.

"We had good speed in the last weekend, apart from the rain where we could not get anything for some reason, and that really put us in a not very good position.

"But I think if it is a dry weekend we have found the place where we want to be with set-up and things like that, so hopefully we can be better than last weekend."
