Key leaves Sauber
Sauber says James Key has left his post as technical director of the Swiss-based team, six weeks before the Formula One season.
The responsibility for the design and development of Sauber's 2012 car has been passed to the department heads for aerodynamics, design, performance and operations.
Key has been at Sauber for the past two seasons, having previously worked with the now-defunct Jordan team, but says he is taking up a new role in his native Britain.
The 40-year-old Key says on Friday "I think the team is now well set for the future."
Sauber finished seventh in the constructors' championship in 2011.
