Massa leaves hospital after crash
Felipe Massa was released from hospital on Sunday evening following his heavy crash during the Monaco Grand Prix.
The 32-year-old Brazilian lost control of his Ferrari car and slid into the barriers at the Saint Devote corner at high speed.
He appeared to suffer neck or head injuries and medical staff fitted him with a surgical collar before he left the circuit for the hospital.
The incident was almost identical to his crash in final practice on Saturday when he also lost control at Sainte Devote.
Massa climbed from his car unaided after both crashes, but went to hospital for precautionary checks on Sunday.
He was discharged an hour after the race finished and, despite a sore neck, headed home immediately.
His Ferrari teammate Spaniard Fernando Alonso finished seventh.
