Let’s Play takes rugby to Soshanguve

A Let’s Play TAG Rugby festival took place in Soshanguve yesterday with over 350 kids - both boys and girls - representing 12 schools in attendance.

Yesterday’s event was a culmination of the joint Let’s Play Rugby initiative with the Blue Bulls Rugby Union in the Tshwane region.

The Blue Bulls Company will have its first township practice of the 2012 Absa Currie Cup season on Wednesday 22 August at the Lucas ‘Masterpieces’ Moripe Stadium during the final Let’s Play Rugby activation.

Boys and girls aged between seven and 10 years old from the Atteridgeville community are invited to participate in an hour-long session of tag rugby.

The aim is to create a sustainable rugby culture in surrounding areas of Tshwane and to take the Vodacom Blue Bulls to its local supporters with the ultimate goal of introducing budding youngsters to the game.
