Let’s Play donates balls to Children & Youth Centre

Our Children and Youthcare centre is a residential child care centre. This includes a therapeutic centre in Bloemfontein for the care of children with special needs, e.g. special medical services, special schooling, therapy, etc.

The children are cared for on the site of the children’s home (Ons Kinderhuis) in Bloemfontein. A full therapeutic team which includes child care workers and therapists provides care, education, development and treatment. The centre looks after 100 children who come out of difficult circumstances and the team tries to rehabilitate these children.

Says Frikke van Dyk, Principal Social Worker: “Having sport at this centre is a blessing to the children because they can focus their energy on something positive, changing their outlook on life. Sport helps these kids to put behind the tragedies that they had to encounter from a young age. We appreciate the 50 Let’s Play balls so much as we don’t receive support from the state – all donations are welcome”.
